Sarah Blenkinsop, MD of Ripon based agency, Golden Frog Marketing, is expanding her North Yorkshire based business to the other side of the world. Currently on a trade mission to Australia, with a view to setting up an office in Queensland, Sarah has so far enjoyed some very positive meetings with the Australian British Chamber of Commerce (ABBC) and BEDA (Brisbane’s Economic Development Agency).
Established in Ripon in 2010, Golden Frog provides a full-service marketing and PR operation, specialising in building websites and creating innovative digital media for their clients.
Whilst ‘down under,’ Sarah has held several meetings with potential new clients and is also looking to expand the reach of her current UK clients, who want to grow their business into the southern hemisphere.
Golden Frog Marketing acts as a completely outsourced marketing department for companies across the world including International Fibres Group, Samuel Grant Packaging, Marmax Products, Multiplex Engineering, J and JW Longbottom, and hospitality venues including The Royal Hotel, The Angel Inn at Topcliffe and The Runswick Bay Hotel.
Sarah’s trip is supported by the Department for Trade’s WIN (Women’s International Network) Programme. Launched in November 2023, the initiative was created to modernise trade in the UK and accelerate economic growth across the country. Starting as a trial in the North of England, it aims to increase the participation of women-owned and women-led businesses in international trade by providing a collaborative and supportive environment for business owners. Earlier this year, Sarah joined another trade mission to the US, representing female-led UK businesses for International Women’s Day.
The international future for Golden Frog Marketing looks bright. Speaking from Brisbane, Sarah says, “Having lived in Australia in the noughties, the opportunity to potentially develop Golden Frog here is a pinch me moment, I’m so excited for what the future holds for our little Ripon company.”
